Hello community, I have owned the domain folder.de for quite some time. Now that I am active on this German domain forum, I am curious to hear your opinions about it. Do you think this is a strong domain name for the German market? I currently have an asking price listed on the landing page but I'd love to know what an end user might be willing to pay for a name like this. I also own the .at version. Thanks in advance for your feedbacks.

Thanks for your reply. Is the term "folder" commonly used in Germany to refer to anything in particular? In Dutch we use "folder" to refer to advertising leaflets/brochures from stores. That is why the .be domain sold for around 9k and the .nl version for around 7.5k back in 2010. And if you look at the plural "folders" you'll see that the .eu domain sold for 5k and the .be for 8k in 2011. Do you think the .de extension would sell for much less than that? These days, a lot of Dutch people cross the border to do their shopping in Germany (including me), so I am hoping that makes the domain name a bit more valuable .

Depends on the buyer.
A domainer will buy it at x.xxx and consider a sale at x.xxx - xx.xxx, I guess.

We say "Faltblatt"/ "Faltblätter" (pl.), but "Folder" is not uncommon: https://www.flyeralarm.com/de/stores/folder8.html/
